The desktop app signs in through the browser callback, restores its own Device Session, and handles desktop image or shared-draft Capture.
What to expect
A healthy desktop flow returns from browser auth into the app, restores the local Device Session, and then creates a Capture you can verify in Clips and Recent.
Expected desktop flow
Run these checks in order when the desktop Client does not behave as expected.

Start sign-in from the desktop app so the browser callback returns into the desktop Client.

Confirm the Device Session after auth before you test image or link Capture again.

Save an image or shared draft and then verify the Capture in Clips before you rely on search.
